Flatbread Pizza in 20
whole wheat flatbread spread
with tomato garlic sauce,
red peppers, spinach,
artichoke, mozzarella,
and parmesan: eating in!
Flatbread Pizza
Preheat oven to 450 F
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
2/3 cup warm water
Mix all ingredients together and dump onto floured stoneware.
Knead a bit till flour is worked in,
Spread out and form low edge on stoneware.
Pierce with fork all over.
Brush with olive oil.
Bake for 5-8 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Top with sauce according to preference [tomato, pesto, or other choice].
Add chopped red peppers, artichoke hearts, whole leaf spinach— or as desired [cooked chicken, broccoli, etc].
Cover with mozzarella and parmesan cheese, as desired.
Back for 8-10 minutes.
Option: add herbs to crust.
Makes a 15 inch pizza.
