Nests

Walking in the brown world, where some green peeks through as spring slips in over the winter’s retreat, songbirds chirp in the trees, and I notice in the park at least seven nests in one spot, whereas in my backyard, with its many branches in its canopy, have only three, always empty, nests. Cats do not realize how smart birds are.

Prompt: Consider an idea from nature in your daily world.
