Word Cloud: National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month!

And “Poem in Your Pocket Day”  is the answer to yesterday’s post. The prompt suggested creating a word cloud and ask others to guess the topic.

The words of the word cloud came from Poets.org explanation of National Poetry Month’s Poem in Your Pocket Day.

This year, Poem In Your Pocket Day, is April 18th. It’s one of my favorite days of the year.

The students in my classroom encouraged every one at school to carry a poem in their pocket; it was a wonderful day of sharing. We enjoyed reaching into our pockets and sharing our favorite poems. Look for resources here: National Poetry Month’s Poem in Your Pocket Day, including

What will be in your pocket?

Since the whole month is National Poetry Month, it’s time to get ready for a month of word play, wordsmithing, and imagination.
