Today I created two maps:
- Map to the Library [above]
- Map of the part of our library’s service area
On Tuesday, the facilitators of #WriteOut “Map With Me” shared an introduction via Google Hangout, which I watched today:
During the session, we were asked to map out an organization to which you belong.
As a “Friends of the Coulee Area Library,” I created my map to the library and the service reach of our Grand Coulee Library. We cover so much ground since we are a small library in a very rural area. The “Friends of the Coulee Area Library” support, through fundraisers, the library’s extra services, such as summer programs and after-school programs.
So, even though the #writeout is based from the NWP and the NPS, it’s really about building community — so go ahead, write about the spaces and places that are important to you. Draw a couple maps about them and share with the #writeout #clmooc hashtags!

Both maps are wonderful … thank you!

Thanks Kevin. Very good idea– mapping organizational concepts. I am delighted at how well our library services our community, especially for the kids. Great GHO introduction to WriteOut Map With Map too. I enjoyed hearing about the projects. ~ Sheri
