WriteOut CLmooc Haiku

During our #writeout twitter chat [archives], we were asked to choose a photo from the #writeout photo feed and write a haiku. The haiku are archived here.

I choose Sarah Honeychurch’s Shetland Isles photo because the haiku just wrote itself:

blue silky pathway

to a hopeful horizon

ripples a welcome

I found that the Shetland Islands were long ago probably settled by the Picts: an ancient people that I’m sure believed in fairies and from which I may have ancestors.  Read more here.

Thank you, Sarah, for sharing such a lovely place.

    • I have grandchildren, Wendy. We created worlds together. And they wrote ninja scripts to win over evil, acting them out in the dark of night in our yard. Such fun. Thanks for stopping by. ~ Sheri
