Maple trees surround the lawn
within the park
around the pool;
cool waters filled with kids
teens and youngsters
in the pool;
diving, splashing,
sunning, running
SHEEEK
the whistle screams,
WALK
the lifeguard reminds
busy in the pool;
toddlers, wee ones,
and their moms
in the wading pool:
wading, splashing
laughing, falling
cool in the pool
falling splashes
from the fountain
squirting in the pool;
toddlers squeal
rush away
fun in the pool.
