Are you considering blogging?
Have you thought about blogging — about sharing your ideas on a topic of your interest? Are you an educator with experience and therefore strategies to share? Are you a new educator with new ideas to explore and share?
Join the Reflective Writing Club’s Six Week Adventure by January 26th
Now’s your opportunity to discover the power of blogging for reflection and connection in a short six-week blogging adventure called Reflective Writing Club. Its coordinated by the professional development team of the CCC Online Education Initiative (OEI), and is open to everyone; educators in many roles have already signed up.
That’s correct: administrators, community college and university professionals, online educators, and even retirees — whatever hat you wear in education, please join us for a writing prompt a week, reflect and comment on others’ ideas, and learn or refine your blogging skills to connect with others and build a professional learning network [PLN].
Improve your Tech Skills
Blogging improves your skills:
- in working online — learn to post and publish, add images, link, etc.
- your writing— learn the ways of online writing
- your teaching— reflect on your pedagogy; connect with others to help better your teaching and student learning
- and your digital footprint— sharing your ideas and skills builds your professional brand
This week, Edublogs posted an excellent explanation of how writing blogs and writing online is different, which means you can improve your blog writing with those ideas. Read it for ideas.
Edublogs also provides many teacher resources, so jump into these if you have questions.
Ask Questions If You Need Help
