Adventures: A Choice #etmooc

I’ve been thinking about this “Choose your own adventure,” and “curating multiple paths to learning” that Ben Wilkoff suggests in his Learning is Change series.  My response is this:

When a person is motivated, they jump in and choose their adventure, their path, their neighborhoods. Here’s the story of Denise and Sheri — and how their adventure blossomed:

What do you think?

How doe we create an environment for staff and students with open paths wherein each path can motivate?

  1. Here I am, up too early again, trying to answer some of these questions, Sheri! Our school is changing so much next year, I wonder how I can be an agent for structuring learning paths that motivate reluctant staff and students. The non-reluctant ones are always rarin’ to go.

    Keep spreading the learning love,
    Denise

    • Denise, I know. When they aren’t ready, they aren’t ready. And with so little time and access, it doesn’t seem possible to motivate those so busy just doing what we are required to do. Until there’s time and access, I just sigh. I just model. And often my students spread the word. Thanks for always connecting and helping me grow.
